Custom-Name for Earning Components - 07/05/2022

Through our API, employers can now add custom names for earning components. Earning components are the types of earnings that make up a shift, such as hourly or bonus. Employers can now add custom names to these components, such as “COVID Pay” for an hourly shift. These custom names, if present, will show up in the whitelabel as a replacement for the actual earning component. They will also be present in the Labor Allocation Report and Payroll Journal as substitutes for the earning component type. For example, if an employee had a shift that consisted of both regular hourly work and “COVID Pay” hourly work, there would be two inputs for each type of work.
